Innovation

Our experience shows…

that tank manufacturing companies usually are focusing on the general manufacture of tanks and vessels and also stainless elements and components. To them the mixing process itself is secondary, and the dimensioning is based on rules-of-thumb.
After many years’ development and experience Sigma has acquired knowledge of unique dimensioning of propeller mixers and disper mixers.
With propeller mixers you normally will obtain an intensity degree of about 60% of the very tank content. At the same time the rotating shaft causes a vortex, which will result in soaking down air into the batch. The consequence of this will be a product filled with air, which later on gives handling problems and also some nuisances with regard to the quality...

Exactly at this point our knowledge is of importance. We always have focused on optimi-zation of the flow speed itself during the actual mixing. At the same time we have applied oceans of resources to the design of the rotor/stator principle just in order to secure that the entire product will pass the turbine head optimally without any kind of formation of “dead zones” in the batch.
The result is that today we manufacture mixing plants with an optimally constructed turbine head adjusted to the dimensions of the tank, by which we obtain an actual efficiency of 100%. Making use of a minimum of engine power we are able to manufacture a homogeneous product with uniform micro drops, which secures a product of a very high quality.
